Building and ship vacuum system illustration

Less water required

Vacuum systems use much less water than their traditional counterparts. Both on ships and in buildings this means there is less fresh water to treat, pump and store. The size requirements for sewage treatment plants also drop accordingly.

  • Saves precious water - on ships it also saves considerable weight
  • Less need for fresh water production/treatment and storage
  • Allows significantly smaller sewage treatment plants
  • Much lower waste volumes for the same number of toilets
  • Closed pipe system keeps sewage gases where they belong
  • No need for ventilation of piping
  • On ships: withstands the roll and pitch of the vessel without risk of water or sewage leakage, even in harsh weather
