Jets™ dealership conference participants

Dealership conference at Jets™ Land & Transport division

(Thursday, February 17, 2011)

About 20 dealers and distributors of Jets™ vacuum systems from Norway, Sweden and Finland joined the Jets™ staff at Hareid on Wednesday the 16th and Thursday the 17th of February. With the beautiful Storfjorden in its winter shroud as a magnificent backdrop, the conference was nothing short of a success.

Ecperiencing Jets™

From time to time, Jets™ invites dealers, distributors and their service staff from all over the world to the Hareid, Norway head office so they can see for themselves and be updated on the latest technological achievements in vacuum sanitary systems.

From all of Scandinavia

At this particular event, dealers and distributors of cabin systems were invited. Norway and Sweden are the largest markets for these systems today, with Finland following suit. The attendees from all of Scandinavia were given a thorough introduction to Jets™ technology, with special attention given to cabin related products.

Among other things, the participants gained insight in the new greywater treatment plant for cabins launched by Jets™ in 2010. In the Jets™ lab, a demonstration of the large vacuum piping simulator confirmed to the dealers that Jets™ spares no expense in being at the forefront of vacuum technology. Ample time was also set aside for hands-on service training, where toilet mechanisms and pumps were disassemled - and not least, reassemled.

Runde Environmental Centre

A visit to Runde Environmental Centre was also part of the programme. Jets™ has supplied the centre's sanitary system, and also works closely with the centre in research and development projects. May Britt Haukås, head of public information at the centre, gave a lecture on the innovative building on the ocean's doorstep that is Runde Environmental Centre. She took the listeners with her on a verbal journey spanning from the centre's environmental technology and research, to the story of the Runde Treasure from the ship Akerendam which sank off Runde in 1725.

The hosts at Jets™ received very good feedback from the participants, who had nothing but great things to say about the conference and the training they had received.
