Our partner Mjøs Metallvarefabrikk AS manufactures our Vacuumarator™ pumps in modern production facilities north of Bergen, Norway. Mjøs traces its roots all the way back to 1865 as a foundry making bronze valves for maritime use.
State-of-the-art design and production
The company is today one of the most advanced of its type in Norway. In addition to casting components in bronze and aluminium in a modern foundry, the company machines components in stainless steel and titanium. Mjøs employs sophisticated CAD/CAM modelling and state-of-the-art CNC machining. The company uses advanced measuring machines to ensure that manufactured components have dimensions and tolerances according to specification.

A highly qualified and motivated workforce contributes to first-class workmanship and first-class products. Vacuumarator™ pumps are manufactured to the highest industrial standards, using quality corrosion-resistant materials rated for marine sanitation.
CNC machining at Mjøs
Mjøs Metallvarefabrikk operates some of the finest equipment in the metal industry, and have been doing CNC work since the early eighties.
CNC machining of components ensures that every single item in a production run meets our required tolerances, again and again. The precision and speed of a CNC machine are unrivalled, and the onboard computer controls its movements down to fractions of a millimeter.
The Mjøs facility has a total of 9 CNC machining centers; one is a 5-axis vertical unit, one is a flexible machining cell, three are horizontal units and the final four are vertical units.
Mjøs is also equipped with 10 CNC lathes, all online with their CAD/CAM system.
