Ships at sea
It may sound like a contradiction, but ships at sea need to conserve water. Fresh water on a ship is a limited resource, since all the water used on board has to be either carried in tanks or made from salt water at sea. So it is no coincidence that more than half of the ships being built with vacuum systems choose Jets™.
Vacuum is the future
The days of water flushing toilets on ships have long since gone, for the most part anyway. Modern ships choose vacuum toilets - and a staggering 50+ % of new ships built today choose Jets™ systems and solutions.
Cut water and sewage volumes
The reason customers choose vacuum is simply that vacuum toilets use air to flush toilets on board. Less than a liter of water is used per flush in a Jets™ system, just to keep the toilet bowl clean. This keeps fresh water production and sewage volumes down - which also means there is less sewage to treat.
